Vintage Aviator Eyeglasses By Carrera, 5772, Glasses From Austria With Classic Retro Style Design Gold & Bronze Metal Frames

Classic vintage aviator style glasses from Carrera with bronze tortoiseshell design around the lenses & on the arms over gold metal. Carrera is subtly printed in bronze on the outside top of each arm. Frame made in Austria & 5772 are printed on the inside left arm. The hinges are quite an interesting design & very sturdy. These glasses are true vintage & are in good condition overall. There are subtle signs of wear to the frames with some of the bronze tortoiseshell pattern worn off in places around the lenses (see pictures). & some patina where the screw holds on the nose pieces (see picture 6). The lenses are prescription, but we would anticipate you would replace them with your own prescription or clear glass for a costume prop. The measurements: Frame Width, from arm to arm: 14 cm / 5 1/2 inches Nose Bridge width: 1.8 cm / 5/8 inch Arm Length (hinge to curve of arm): 9 cm / 3 1/2 inches Lens Diameter - 5.5 cm x 4.3 cm / 2 1/8 inches x 1 5/8 inches Please check measurements carefully, particularly frame width & arm length, as we do not accept returns for eyeglasses not fitting.
