A vintage 1960s hand-blown cream & gold glass basket bowl. The bowl has cream/gold colored glass cased in clear glass, with two ends pulled up into basket handles. The underside has been ground & polished flat. The sticker on the underside reads, Vetro Eseguito Secondo La Tecnica Dei Maestri Di Murano which roughly translated means, Glass made in the style of the Murano masters. in other words, it’s not authentic mid-century Murano glass, but glass most likely made in neighboring Venice, Italy, in the 1960s. Glass factories such as this one employed many former Murano glass blowers who had studied & learned their craft in Murano glass factories. Dimensions: 4.5H x 6L x 5W. Weight: 1 1/2 lbs. Label adhered to the underside. in excellent condition, with slight signs of normal wear from age & previous use. No signs of damage or defects.
