An antique papier-mche & mother of pearl glasses case dating from the 1910’s. Beautiful shiny black shellac covered papier-mche case with hinged opening section to one end Inside is lined in purple velvet The top of the case has an inlaid mother of pearl & silver tone metal frame with three horizontal bands across the middle The case measures approx 6.5 x 1.75 x 0.4 Just add your own glasses - you can find examples in my shop. The case is in excellent antique condition with a good secure hinge & nice & snug fitting lid There are the following minor age related defects - one tiny dink to the back of the case, a little wear to the interior velvet & one tiny piece of mother pearl missing from the centre of one of the end bands - see photos Postage in the UK is by Royal Mail First Class Signed For service.
