Antique spectacles case for a chatelaine, antique leather velvet lined chatelaine spectacle case, period props This is a lovely antique late Victorian or early Edwardian spectacles case for a chatelaine. It’s velvet lined to protect the glasses while they’re stored. It has a beautiful ornate little clip for a chatelaine. Some of the silver plating has rubbed off to reveal the brass base metal. There’s also a little damage around the bottom of the case shown in photo 5, nothing too serious though. The case, not including the chain & clip, measures approximately 17 x 4 cm.
