I bought these from a retired optometrist who had a load of left over samples of sunglasses & glasses stored in his cellar. I also got some frames with clear lenses which I will list shortly (or send me a message if you are interested). These are the only ones that had tinted lenses in them. I cannot say if these tinted lenses have any sun protection or are polarised. They date from the late 1970s or early 1980s. The frames are white plastic & thin-ish. The lenses are a sort of pinky purple brown tint. There is no makers name, only Amber 6011 on the arm. Each lens measures 60mm wide x 55mm tall. The overall width arm to arm is 150mm. Overall, these lenses are large. They are shown on a mannequin with a small head & face. They will work on a larger head as well. If the glasses look slightly crooked on the mannequin it is because she doesn’t have ears to hold them in place. They are in good condition. The only thing I noted was that very faintly, on the lower left lens, is a hint of an old price written (20.00, which was a lot of money back then, similar to nearly 100 today). I did not see it at all until I was shining a light back through it so I would say that it is hard to see at all. I have not tried to clean it off. As these were samples, it would be that the lenses were not meant to stay in but be replaced with your prescription. Otherwise the frames are clean as are the lenses. Please zoom in on the photos & feel free to ask any questions. I ship tracked & insured worldwide. I only charge for the actual postage costs (I do not charge for packing materials or my time). I make educated estimates for shipping but if I have overestimated, I do refund the difference. I do combine for shipping & have organised it so that if you put items in your basket, you will see this reflected in the overall shipping costs but again, if the total shipping comes in less than quoted, I will refund the difference. IMPORTANT: If you live outside the UK, you may have to pay additional import taxes or duty on your order. I will not list items as gifts or undervalue them so please do not ask. If you are unsure of whether you will have to pay tax, check with your tax office PRIOR to purchase. 1970S 1980S White Framed Sunglasses, Never Worn Optometrist’s Sample, Large Lens
